Great Knights Chess is an instructional chess organization. Our staff is comprised of highly skilled coaches who specialize in working with children and teens. The Great Knights staff implements the chess skills that are well researched to be extremely beneficial. We also add in the development of life skills. These include social, mental, and emotional, to name a few. Any individual who signs with the Great Knights is part of the team. They have opportunities to meet and play with other members of the team at various team events. We have team shirts and jerseys that members often sport, proudly representing their last name on their backs.
Our coaches pass background checks and are tested not only for their chess and teaching abilities but also for their attitude and how it will translate to our team members' experience.
Students will learn new chess skills, whether it is basics for newcomers or more advanced strategies for experienced players. Great Knights Chess members are a team so we all work and play together. We have tournament games in which we encourage healthy competition... while we also promote and teach life skills of working with others as a team and community.
